We look forward to share with you the photo of the Unthakal I Women’s Association from Anantapur, India. Since more than 15 years CRAFTELIER collaborates with the Vicente Ferrer foundation by sponsoring this Women’s Association.
Thanks to your purchases we help women from Anantapur to be more valued and respected in their environment, where they are doubly discriminated because of their gender condition and for belonging to a low and excluded class.
India is a country where women represent 48% of the population, they also are the base of society, of the familiar economy and the transmitters of values and traditions. However, their role is not acknowledged, despite the country legislation admits equity and non-discrimination of women, so that being born a girl means a family burden. The situation is worst if they belong to a lower social class.
Vicente Ferrer Foundation started a development program for women since 1982 with the purpose of revaluing their role in society through education and the association of women developing their participation in the social and economic environment with specific programs.
“De mujer a mujer” (From woman to woman) is a program that empowers the bonding between people from Spain and Indian women. Thanks to your purchases, we help women in de Anantapur are more valued and respected in their environment, where they are doubly discriminated because of their gender condition and for belonging to a low and excluded class.
Besides, we collaborate since 2015 with the Quality Medical Attention Program for boys and girls. This program from the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, allows Indian children to get a quality medical attention. Thank you for helping us to make this little effort for having a fairer world.
